20 The value of private initiatives for sustainability (in Dutch)
Increasing numbers of citizens initiate sustainable solutions, mostly stemming from their role as consumers. Often these solutions are surprisingly simple with a potential to find resonance with large groups of users and trigger sustainable (including social) innovations this way. At the same time these ideas are often of such a small magnitude that it’s hard to estimate which ones will finally be successful on a larger scale. Often initiators seek parties willing to cooperate in order to realise their idea. In this workshop the Technical University of Eindhoven looks at the potential of collaboration with such private initiatives.
