 Bert Kersten is a Member Provincial Executive of the Province of Limburg. After his Economics study Bert Kersten worked as a teacher at a school for secondary education. He was an alderman in the city of Venray for 12 years and a self-employed consultant for companies and civil authorities. Since October 2004 he has been a Member of the Provincial Executive of the Province of Limburg. Bert is convinced that the government has to realise that it is elected by the people and should therefore work for them. No unnecessary bureaucracy, and it is the results that count. Everyone should be able to participate in society and everyone should take responsibility. The government should support and facilitate. He is deeply convinced that our way of producing and consuming should alter. That is why he wants to make the Province of Limburg a leader as far as Cradle to Cradle concept is concerned.
